Our Story

DOMINIKANIS is a Catholic Publishing House based in Paris (France) which aims at providing books, kits and games toward children who are looking to learn more about the Catholic Faith.
Our mission is to provide Catholic books, kits and games on the Bible and the history of Saints of the Catholic Church so their readers can also live like saints.

Why this name "Dominikanis"?

The name DOMINIKANIS is inspired by Saint Dominic (1170, Spain - 1221, Italy) founder of the Order of Friars Preachers (Dominicans). The story is told that before his birth his mother dreamed that she would give birth to a dog who would hold a torch in its mouth and would "set the whole earth on fire."

The word "Dominican" is a play on the Latin "Domini canis", which means "dog of the Lord". The name DOMINIKANIS illustrates our desire to serve humbly and joyfully the church and bring people closer to Christ as well as helping Catholic missions around the world.
